The first time I met Bhaskar, he seemed just another man from the corporate world. The second time he seemed a man of deep thoughts. Never did I ever fathom that Bhaskar was a man of many feats. That was when I thought of talking to him. Luckily I knew the person who had introduced me to Bhaskar. I got his contact and sent him friend request on Facebook. One year passed in between without any communication between us.
Then one day I asked him what he did. He told me he had a startup that was managing eco-friendly automobile solutions to all in Bangalore. That got me intrigued! However, another year passed before I could materialize my inquisition to understand this quiet and soft spoken ever available for a quick chat man. So, when we decided to bring a magazine on budding, entrepreneurs, startup founders, people with unconventional feats and venture capitalists, the first name that came to me was Bhaskar Chavda.
Let’s introduce Bhaskar to you. A man from a spiritual and high family values in Gujarat, Bhaskar’s career trajectory includes pivotal roles at notable organizations such as Akamai Technologies, Replicon, and Speedera Networks, where he consistently demonstrated his ability to drive revenue growth, scale teams, and optimize operations. A seasoned Mechanical Engineer with a rich background in leadership and entrepreneurship, Bhaskar Chavda is currently serving as a Data Acquisition Consultant at Bright Data.
In 2002 he relocated to Bangalore and started working in the IT capital of India. Soon he found his real calling. Bangalore was a dream city for all IT and enthusiastic workers to realize their dreams. However, the traffic in the city was unmanageable leaving the people of the city totally berserk. Long hours of commute to work, too many traffic halts, and jams would leave the weekdays of the commuters in a total frenzy. Moreover, the pollution rate was at a real high.
Bhaskar always wanted to do something unique and something for the mass. He played his card by founding and leading myofficecab, a company dedicated to providing sustainable employee transportation solutions. Under his guidance, myofficecab not only reduced CO₂ emissions but also catered to the transportation needs of over 50 organizations, showcasing his commitment to environmental sustainability and innovative problem-solving. He further made sure that the drivers were not just the young and mid aged men, women also got a chance to earn through this platform. He further went and took out the list of those army officials who had served the nation for 5 or 10 years under the plan of Short Service Commission.
The plan and mode of function of his startup took a wonderful shape and he received funds plus vehicles from many automobile giants of India like Hyundai, Maruti, Mahendra, Tata, things would have looked banal if only a startup that took care of a pressing need of a buzzing city was taken care of. Bhaskar’s integrity and high value commitment towards serving the mother earth prompted him to go for hundreds of tree plantation in the school campuses of Vibgyor and Baldwin in Bangalore. Working for a greater good came into light when the audit department of one of his partner sponsors found something really awe inspiring. Bhaskar has actually produced invoice of his function way below his actual rates. On investigation, the CAs found this was a pattern to be consistent over the years.
This was it, people knew the authenticity, love and passion that had no mean motives behind this man. However, when the global Pandemic hit hard, the companies had shut down the commuting of the employees completely. This made all the companies that worked for roster employee commute take a back seat. It was then Bhaskar decided to give himself to another challenge.
From a seasonal entrepreneur, Bhaskar had again joined an Israeli Company as a Data Acquisition Consultant. On asking if this was a decision on compulsion, Bhaskar shrugged and said – How does it matter whether I run the company or someone else. My contribution should be paramount. I should be able to bring a meaningful contribution every day, whether sitting on one side of the table or the other.
The results are evident. Within 2 years of joining his new work Bright Data, he could scale up the revenue of the company in huge dividends. He loves to work with the Gen Z and the Gen Y. He says their nonchalance and ability to deliver prompt quality work makes him want to work with them again and again. But to use them properly, one needs to have years of industry experience. In his current role at Bright Data, Bhaskar continues to leverage his extensive experience to deliver advanced data analytics tools, offering valuable insights into various product categories for retailers. His contributions have been instrumental in enhancing data-driven decision-making processes within the e-commerce sector.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Bhaskar’s commitment to sustainability and his innovative approach to solving complex problems reflect his character as a conscientious and forward-thinking individual. His career serves as an inspiring example of how leadership, when combined with a genuine passion for positive change, can lead to significant industry advancements.
Being a family man, Bhaskar’s day begins with Yoga, meditation, reading and a healthy breakfast. Today Bhaskar is full of energy and plans to bring in a new ray of hope to all the working people in and around the globe with his positive attitude and never say die spirit.
