SoY Joy (from the House of Babu Culture) hits the deck in Salt Lake with the confidence of a place that knows exactly what it’s doing. I had the chance to sample an extensive spread, and what stood out was the consistency—across textures, sauces, and presentation. From the perfectly crisp-edged pork gyoza to the bold, umami-rich chilli garlic lamb with a hint of soy depth, every dish carried a distinct identity yet stayed rooted in an authentic Pan-Asian palate.

Tasted 16 oriental cuisine couple of days’ back, nicely crafted and curated by none other than Culinary Consultant and Celebrity Chef Sumanta Chakrabarti. And through his “midas touch,” the each and every item came out truly ‘oriental.’
Recommending multiple dishes here isn’t indulgence—it’s necessity. The menu is designed like a journey, where each plate unlocks a different flavour profile, from smoky Korean grills to comforting ramen bowls and sharp, peppery stir-fries. You don’t pick one—you explore.
What elevates the experience further is the décor—playful, offbeat, and visually arresting. The ceiling installation alone creates a whimsical, almost art-gallery-like vibe, making the space as memorable as the food. It’s a place where taste meets texture, both on the plate and around you.
